This stand-out phenotype, El Chivo #5, from the Grape Gas Collection by Compound Genetics, has an array of excellent traits. It has an extremely strong stem, very few leaves, and moderate internodal distance. Buds are exceptionally trichome-covered and yields nearly all A-grade buds. The stem strength has correlated to a unique resistance to pests & pathogens making this an easy grower in many environments. This can be a foundational cultivar for future breeding projects.
